Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 + Bonus

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to join our team and ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Job Summary:

As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of EHS, conducting risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize hazards and enhance safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

EHS Program Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.

  • Stay up-to-date with EHS legislation and industry best practices.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards.

  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions.

Training and Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.

  • Promote a culture of safety through ongoing education and awareness initiatives.

  • Ensure that all employees understand and comply with EHS policies and procedures.

Environmental Compliance:

  • Oversee environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air emissions, and water quality.

  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, ensuring adherence to permits and regulations.

  • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.

Health and Safety Management:

  • Develop and enforce health and safety protocols to protect employee well-being.

  • Coordinate occupational health programs, including ergonomics, wellness, and injury prevention.

  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, training, and inspections.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving EHS performance and implement best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all business processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.

  • Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior management.

  • Ensure that all EHS documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in using EHS management software and tools.

  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
